Here's a classical Persian from one of the most respected towns, Tabriz. Woven in the 1920s, it comes from a region with noteworthy history because the artisans of Tabriz are very well respected due to their highly skilled work and the most venerated weavings.
These particular rugs have high standards of craftsmanship and superior quality of wool and materials used, with tight density that is finely knotted and always with elaborate floral art.
This piece is heavy duty, low pile with scattered wear. It has all natural, vegetable dyes. On a deep melon ground with ivory spandrels and amazing fleur design.
