With a distinct fuchsia ground, this floral Persian carpet had artisans upon it that carefully wove with mastery. It's quite the royal 12x16 Persian rug, filled with amazing curvilinear floral art and this beautiful beast is very durable and weighted. It comes from a pre-eminent 19th Century workshop and this regal oversize rug has a heavy handle. In palatial size, this is a durable piece, with luxurious wool that was dyed naturally with vegetables. The ground color appears red, but it is a berry fuchsia color that is different, rich and lovely.
Please see pics for condition. Overall low pile with some areas with loss of wool. It has been given some TLC and is ready for its next home. Please see pics for full character and condition. We have it priced at a great value for incredible quality and work of art. Woven in the 1920s.
