This hand knotted 16x16 antique Spanish rug is the second of its kind in our collection! We were simply drawn to this piece, for its size, art, and that antique rugs from Spain have a weave pile like no other and we cannot resist.
Known to be plush, this rug's wool has coarse wool and is soft to the touch. Just look at the close up pics to see what we're talking about. This magnificent piece is quite distinctive and these old beauties have been very loved and collected in Europe as you can see the graceful style with vine scrolls and the feel of it's open field. This 1920s rug also reminds us of old Turkish rugs as well, with their grand medallions and spacious design.
This rug is heavy, durable, has coarse wool and is soft to the touch.
