This antique rug is from 1905. Itäó»s a Kurdish tribal runner that was hand knotted by Kurdish weavers, a very small minority in areas that are north of Persia. The date in is woven into the top of the runner (Persian calendar 1285), an amazing element that locks in the amazing and rich history of this lost treasure.
The runner boasts a beautiful indigo blue field with stylized flowers throughout and two ivory borders with deep madder red border of geometric floral designs.
It is worn and low pile.
(sorry, USA only. International $50 flat)
