A proper 1920s Persian Heriz with that dazzling kind of presence…measuring 7’ x 9’9 and holding it down with serious vibes. The palette is where things get JUICY…deep watermelon melting into sky blues, with some serious abrash. You can actually see the shifts in natural dye batches shifting from one side of the corner spandrel to the other…like the wool is telling you exactly how it was dyed, batch by batch, no shortcuts.
Classic Heriz energy here…big, angular medallion, tribal geometry, angular lines that feel grounded and confident without trying too hard. This is the kind of rug that anchors a room instantly and with power. There’s a small area along the border where some wool has worn down (please see pics for character and condition), but the foundation is solid and the construction is the real deal. These are known for being absolute workhorses…thick, durable, and built to live a full life.
Handwoven with vegetable-dyed wool doing what it does best…rich, saturated, a little wild, and impossible to fake. She’s got stories…she’s got strength…and those colors? Next level.
Low pile, handwoven with vegetable dyed wool. Check out the clip for a short video and amazing illustration of this Persian.
