2’7 - 2’9 x 4’ Antique Persian Malayer (#1440)

This is a magnificent century old Malayer from the Hamadan region of Persia. It has a gorgeous handwoven design on a deep midnight blue ground with remarkable medallions and work of art throughout. It has a lot of character congruent to it's age with all natural dyes and old world wool that has beautifully aged. Had one small tear, mid section that has been mended. 

There is nothing ever synthetic of antique rugs like this one that is 100 years of age with all natural dyes. It will play up a space with loads of charm and history.

Malayer is a village in Northwest Persia and is known to have produced really decorative rugs that are great investments for a home. The wool of this rug is highly durable, strong, and a rug to be enjoyed for decades to come.
