Woven of vegetable dyed wool and non-dyed camel hair, this skinny runner definitely has our attention. This runner is from circa 1880 and it comes from Northwest P E R S I A, undoubtedly with the wool of weaver’s own camel and sheep.
This runner has skinny width which of you’ve been looking for a while, you probably know how hard that is to find in old rugs! It has amazing medallions and two tone art running down the field. You will also notice on one segment of the rug, the dye color in the field changes. This is basically when a different lot of cooked wool was used to weave. It is remarkable what we find in old rugs.
Low pile. All natural dyes. Woven in the 1880s!
