Skinny and long, a double rarity in old rugs! This exceptional P e r s i a n from circa 1900 has remarkable wool and what you see in the neutral space is actually non-dyed and all natural camel wool. This is a very fine example of a superior P e r s i a n that has always has demand and offers a great deal of art and history.
It features amazing two tone art in the field and fabulous diamond medallions that are powerful with spaciousness around them, allowing them to really show off the striking beauty. The edge guard (the last border) is a fence of security, an element symbolizing protection to the weavers.
It is low pile and in amazing condition for its age. You can use this skinny runner for those darn, pesky hallways that demand narrow rugs or place it on the stairway and have something in the house that truly stands out as you walk on art!
Low pile, woven with all natural, vegetable dyed wool and non-dyed camel wool.
