In excellent condition for its age with tribal art and vivid color ways is this runner from the NW of P E R S I A. It actually comes from the rugged mountain area of H E R I Z, where durable and coarse wool and weave makes up these phenomenal rugs. Medallions run in the field of this old 1920s runner, and there is a lot of beautiful abrash on this piece. The women who wove used different batches of naturally dyed wool to produce it, and you can see the changes of color and dyes throughout.
