Woven with superior wool that is lanolin rich and extremely durable, this is a phenomenal 1920s Sarouk, specifically a Mohajeran, which are esteemed by collectors as the upper tier/finer edition Sarouk Persians.
Dressed in navy blue and in exquisite condition with a lovely floral design. The wool is packed densely in each knot and this rug is very sturdy and stout, so it'll be able to take on a lot of abuse for centuries to come. This Persian has beautiful sheen and was handwoven with all natural, vegetable dyed wool.
This scatter rug was originally bought by a client of BPR for $3K retail, in her travels years ago. It no longer suits her needs and we were happy to pick this sweet treasure up and find it a new home. A sweet gem it is, and value priced.
