Handwoven circa 1920, this is a low pile antique Persian runner from Heriz and it's loaded with timeworn character. It is a tribal piece, with powerful design and immense presence that speaks age and history.
This wool on cotton foundation runner has amazing and independently unique step medallions in its field, each with its own presence; A true work of creative, handwoven art. The colors on this beauty are bold, yet calm due to the natural vegetable dyes used. The best part? Perhaps that it is skinny...we know...it takes a long while to spot one of these oldies on the narrow side!
This low pile Persian was woven with durable wool, so go on and let it serve you for decades to come. We do recommend a rug pad that we can custom cut for you and ship with the runner.
