This is a tribal runner from the Caucasus mountains with amazing natural dyes and the famous Memblin Gul design. Woven circa 1880-1900. The rug displays a lot of art and characteristics that make it known to be old, including the width of the rug; 3'3 is the the widest but it leans in a couple inches to 3’1 - hand woven characteristics and results of women being on the loom for months.
This runner is in great condition for its age with nice, light wear throughout! All the dyes you see are completely natural, from all the resources the tribespeople had around to use (veggies, plants and flowers).
We recommend a rug pad as it is a softer/floppier rug by nature. We have them in shop. Here is the link if you'd like to add it to purchase: https://www.shopblueparakeetrugs.com/collections/rug-pads/products/medium-runner-rug-pad
