Originating from NW Persia, circa 1880, this beautiful antique hand-woven paisley runner has got a lot of charm and character. The central field has an all over paisley design, also known as boteh, which they say symbolizes eternal life as well as seeds of life. It’s set within a navy blue ground. The pinwheels of life motif located within the paisley design emphasizes this idea, making a powerful statement about the cycle of life.
Rich colors of brick red leaning into rust, ivory, French blue, navy blue, pastel yellow, pistachio and ivory sand work together to catch the eye with interesting patterns. This beauty will make an impression in any space.
Natural vegetable dyed wool were used to create this striking color palette. As time has passed love-worn areas have provided a unique sense of age and character. It has a low pile, but will withstand high traffic areas and can be easily cleaned.
