This 19th Century runner from the Caucasus mountains is a great example of tribal art in rugs and it will bring in a good pinch oh historical depth. On a tan and ivory ground created with spaciousness in design. You'll see elements such a wine cups and serrated leaves in the main border and fence of security on the edge guard. This floppy wool runner is very worn with some spots down to the foundation. Please see pics for full character and condition.
Woven circa 1860-1880 with all natural, vegetable dyed wool.
