There's a charm with antique Persian rugs that come from the area of Serab, where many amazing runners were woven with raw, natural camel wool that is not dyed. This piece is so earthy and with terra cotta tones. It has a sophisticated geometric design with signature elements that the weaver left with her marks along the border, look and see the lone peacock elements. It's a tribal beauty in decent condition for its 100 years of age.
Low pile. Handwoven circa 1920. Two small areas have been professionally secured/mended from its life and history of use. One is along the end border in middle and another is along a side selvedge. Pics posted and areas are secure. Rug is fully intact. It has lanolin rich, natural wool and you'll definitely feel the weight of this heirloom. Priced superbly for quality and age.
