3’7 x 6’2 Antique Persian Malayer (#1406ML)/ Small Vintage Rug

This is a magnificent and over a century old Malayer from the Hamadan region of Persia. It has remarkable art form and rare design. There are not many rugs in this size that we collect with such a sensational ivory/antique beige border and over-scale floral art. It has a lot of character congruent to its age with all natural dyes and old world wool that has beautifully aged.

There is nothing ever synthetic of antique rugs like this one that is 100+ years old, this one being from the early 1900s. 

Malayer is a village in Northwest Persia and is known to have produced really decorative rugs that are great investments for a home. The wool of this rug is highly durable, strong, and a rug to be enjoyed for decades to come.
