This old baby is from circa 1920s the wool is soft and has sheen with luxurious wool you will feel and your feet with thank you for. It is from NW Persia and was hand woven with all vegetable dyes. You can see a change in the batch of wool used to weave the runner right in the field and ground color if you look at the pics. The natural dyes shift from a lighter royal blue to a deep midnight blue.
Also, the widest part of the runner is 3’9. Some other parts on width is an inch or two less wide; This is life of women on the loom for several days to months and the beauty of old, handwoven runners...they are perfectly imperfect.
