Woven on a beautiful wool foundation (see the delicious pics of the fringes), this camel hair Serab from NW P E R S I A has a good deal of length, tribal art and power just beaming out at you.
It displays all natural dyes that have aged well and has step medallions on the field of the rug against the non-dyed and raw camel hair. The main border is in ivory and the edge guard features the "fence of security", symbolic to the weavers as these motifs were considered sacred as it demonstrated life and what must be respected & protected.
