Woven with vegetable dyed wool and non-dyed camel hair, this ornate and long Persian runner aims to please with its camel ground and deeply saturated dyes surrounding. From circa 1900 and from NW Persia, it undoubtedly comes from the weavers' own camel and sheep. This has dominant earthy and terra cotta color ways medallion within medallion art in the field.
It was woven with high quality and durable wool that will be able to take on a lot of foot traffic and abuse for centuries to come. Please note, this runner is not perfectly straight because it is handwoven and there is slight variation while women were weaving for months on end at the loom. We have plenty of pics to show this Persian off, please enjoy!
Low pile, heavy duty and with scattered wear. Woven with vegetable dyed wool.
