This Hamadan of Persia was hand knotted circa 1930 with old world, vegetable dyed wool. This rug has 3 central medallions in deep aqua blue on a rusty brick ground surrounded by indigo blue, teal, cream, mocha, and moss green. You can see lots of hand woven art in the field like awesome pinwheels and geometric elements.
The shades of the natural dyes vary throughout the rug, which shows off the art and character of a true antique rug of age and itäó»s authenticity.
This Persian is a low pile rug, has some weight to it and is very durable. Also has some nice wear, which gives it loads more character. The guard borders have a lovely & intricate design that is definitely another attractive part of this skillfully woven rug. Such lovely charm and great value!
