3'2 x 10'6 Antique NW Persian Runner #1467 / 3x11 Vintage Runner

Regular price $0.01

This amazing antique NW Persian runner was most likely woven by the Heriz tribe. Born out of the mind of a master weaver, seven medallions with unique geometric patterns in ivory, brick red, sapphire blue, sky blue, and navy blue against a brick red ground grab the limelight with its linear placement.

A wonderful contrast to the medallions, a geometric border with interesting art against a sapphire blue ground really pops against the brick red of the center field. Eight pointed star motifs show up in the outer border symbolizing happiness and fertility. Fabulous abrash variations can be seen on one end of the runner.

This beauty has a low pile and the wool was dyed using organic materials, such as plants, flowers, and vegetables. It is a heavy duty runner and very durable with a sturdy cotton bottom. The handle is stiff, not like a runner that bends easily, and would be great in a high traffic area like a hallway or some other walkway.
