The medallions running in the field also resemble those that are found in the region of the Caucasus. You'll see the latch hook motifs on some and the tribal energy this long Persian runner possesses. Framing the field are rust, ivory and aqua blue borders with flower heads, geometric and symbolic X shapes, and floral tendrils.
The exquisite abrash (natural color variation) is also inherently evident on this particular runner, which are gorgeous characteristics that have volume. Handwoven with all natural, vegetable dyed wool. This old tribal rug will withstand a ton of abuse.
