A 1920s H E R I Z runner rug on navy blue background that comes from natural indigo, featuring a multi medallion motif. In great condition for its age, with durable and heavy duty wool, woven in the rugged mountainous areas of NW P E R S I A.
The medallions running in the field also resemble those that are found in the region of the Caucasus. You'll see the latch hook motifs on some and the tribal energy this long P E R S I A N runner possesses. Framing the field are rust, ivory and aqua blue borders with flower heads, geometric and symbolic X shapes, and floral tendrils.
The exquisite abrash (natural color variation) is also inherently evident on this particular runner, which are gorgeous characteristics that have volume. Handwoven with all natural, vegetable dyed wool. This old P E R S I A N will withstand a ton of abuse.
