Talk about gorgeousness! This is an 1880's Kurdish rug woven by village weavers. It is hand knotted with wool and has a wool foundation, very durable!! Kurdish rugs are simply folk art. The weaver of this rug was most likely a woman and she collected many plants and roots for dye and and the wool of her own family's sheep to weave what is now an artifact. The natural dyes are incredible in this runner. You can see the variance and batch changes throughout the rug. It is remarkable and beautiful, leaving us with art that we cherish.
This rug has true charm, great durability and will last for generations to come. The condition is AMAZING! Please take time to look through the pictures...this runner is a beauty and we're happy to extend it at such great value. This is real deal, don't think our low cost is a fake out!
