This is an early 1900s Persian Hamadan runner atop a madder red field that has a calm, dusty tone. It has unusual art and design with an amazing pattern throughout the field that was woven. The style and size is rarely seen in these valuable rugs which comes from one of the major weaving centers of Iran.
This antique runner is low pile and has even wear throughout, showing off its age and time worn authenticity.
