This Malayer in our shop is quite distinct as it displays one of the most beautiful motifs you can find in Persian rugs...cypress trees. They are majestic and indicative of the paradise gardens of the ancient times and symbolize eternity and long life.

Hand knotted circa 100 years ago with all natural, vegetable dyed wool, this Persian is low pile with cypress trees, and floral art on an antique ivory ground. If you look closely, you will see 2 birds adorning this rug on either side of one of the cypress trees. She, the weaver, left more for us to love.

These village rugs are darling and undoubtedly, this one is a true collectible. You can use as floor art of wall art.
