3'4 x 10'6 Antique Camel Hair Persian runner #2321-B

Regular price $0.01

Made of vegetable dyed wool and non-dyed camel hair, this ornate Persian runner was woven in the early 1880s in NW Persia, undoubtedly from the weavers' own camel and sheep. This has dominant earthy and terra cotta color ways and pops of coral with small scale motifs and diamond poled medallions in the field. This is framed with a pure camel hair border that is non-dyed...it is as raw as it comes! In the main border, you'll see continuous rosette design and with an edge guard on the inner and outer that may be wine cup elements.

It was woven with high quality wool and non-dyed camel hair. It has beautiful time worn wear (see pics), it's amazing and low pile, durable, and has at least another century of time for enjoyment. Please note, the underside of this runner has old treatment on it, most likely to help preserve it and to keep its wool from fraying. In excellent condition and low pile.
