This fantastic antique 1920’s Persian Heriz rug may be on the smaller side, but it certainly packs a punch with its intricate design patterns and color ways. Ram’s horn motifs can be seen in all three medallions symbolizing fertility, power, and masculinity. Abstract geometric shapes surround each medallion in a kaleidoscope of colors, such as ivory, walnut brown, soft pink, and French blue against a deep navy blue ground that really complements them.
The borders continue the intricate patterns and beautiful color story, with the main border really tying it all together with the rust ground that pops against the navy blue in the central field.
Handwoven with wool dyed with organic vegetables, plants, and flowers, giving it the vibrant colors we see. This lovely rug also has a low pile. There is some wear to it, especially around the borders, but is in pretty good shape. This beauty will bring warmth, energy, and a bit of drama with its bold personality to any space it resides in.
