A fantastic, tribal antique Tallish runner from the late 19th Century in excellent condition with an ivory ground rosette border that captures our attention. It comes to us from the remarkable Caucasus mountains and this is considered by many collectors as an impressive piece of history with simple elements and geometric motifs that are carried out repetitively throughout the runner. It also demonstrates basic and pure natural vegetable dyes with its classical Tallish design. The wool here is soft with a fine weave and in phenomenal shape. Offered at exceptional value...especially if you've been looking for this type of runner...you can see the prices out there at brick and mortar stores.
Handwoven with all natural, vegetable dyed wool pile on a wool foundation.
