A circa 1920 Persian runner with a navy blue field and an all over Herati pattern also known as fish design. The border has an ivory ground and an intricate and flower with petal design. This is a low pile runner in good condition and it will be quite durable to last for generations to come. 

The ancient city that this runner was woven is known as Hamadan, which is one of the largest cities of Persia, near the capital of Tehran and happens to be one of the most prominent areas in which rugs were woven. 

Handwoven with all natural, vegetable dyed wool.
