Handwoven circa 1920, this low pile antique Northwest P E R S I A N runner features diamond medallions throughout the field and floral motifs with serrated leaves in its navy blue border. It is a tribal piece, bold with design and presence with heavy duty, durable wool. It has weight to it you will feel.
What stands out the most of course, is the length of this old piece and if you've landed on it here in our shop, we'll bet you've been looking around for a while for one to cover your long hallway with a true, old gem. Many runners were woven back in the day, but rarely were they this long.
This rug has a couple of minor spots with loss of wool. Please see pics. Handwoven with all natural, vegetable dyed wool circa 1920.
We recommend a rug pad that we can custom cut for you and ship with the runner which you can purchase here...check out the link: https://www.shopblueparakeetrugs.com/collections/rug-pads/products/extra-long-runner-rug-pad
