This is tribal wool rug from the 1880s. It is on a deep indigo blue backdrop. It is old world, hand knotted by Kurdish weavers. Kurdish rugs are known to be stout and solid! You can definitely feel the lamb's wool on this fine rug. The age and wear shows its great age with loads of cool character. Look at those powerful medallions. You can also see the amazing variation of all the organic dyes in this rug. It is in good condition and ready for a home with tons of life left in it to go!
