A worn P E R S I A N from the Kurds, this old 1880s rug has seen life and still has so much to offer. It has spaciousness in design and its art work offers a powerful central medallion on a time softened pomegranate ground. You'll notice the abrash (variation of its natural dyes) from one end of the rug to the other. This indicates the different batches of organically dyed wool used on the loom.
Low pile and worn. Handwoven with vegetable dyed wool. Some minor areas have been mended to keep its integrity and add many more decades to its life. A great value buy to enhance the space it will live in with lovely art and history.
