Bet you've never seen a runner like this before! With superb floral art that is so unique and unusual is this wonderful wool runner known as a Karabagh. It was woven in the foothills of the Caucasus mountains circa 1900.
It is low pile on a gorgeous blue ground that shows off amazing abrash (displaying different batches of their naturally dyed wool used to weave) and the runner sits on a soft, wool foundation. This is a sturdy and long antique runner which exemplary art and unlike any other in our collection.
Please note, this rug was a bit longer in its life and at some point was professionally reduced to this size that was likely custom to its last owner.
Hand woven with all natural, vegetable dyed wool.
