This is a marvelous handwoven rug that is nomadic and so earthy! It travels to us from the 1880s, from Baluchistan. It was woven with wool on a wool foundation, and it has lovely flat weave Kilim edges.
It is low pile and in great condition for its age. Everything here is organic, real and with all natural dyes. Baluch Nomads would typically weave these rugs small and travel with them or use them for shade on their tents.
These old rugs stand out to collectors and rug enthusiasts for their distinct look and rarity. They have become more and more sought after as an admired pieces of history.
