This beautiful Persian Malayer runner will make a wonderful addition to any space needing a bit of dramatic flair. With an eye-catching diamond-shaped medallion pole design down the center on an open field aged rose red ground, this beauty is warm and inviting. Animal motifs of birds (perhaps ostriches from what we see) and dogs adorn this runner. Color ways include pops of saffron yellow, mint green, and cornflower blue. The rug is also anchored with midnight blue that creates a great contrast to the field of the runner.
This charming wool runner was hand-woven with a low pile and dyed with natural vegetable dyes. It was created in the late 19th century and is in great condition for its age and history. It has scattered wear, earned through age. It will undoubtedly enhance any room it occupies.
