This is an antique rug that offers loads of character, age and history. We call this "ombre" because we can see the beautiful abrash (changes and variations in its natural dyes) throughout the little rug.
It was hand knotted in the 1880s, in the Caucasus mountains and it is known as a Caucasian rug that people love to collect. It is tribal and offers us geometric goodness! This rug is low pile and has some wear and tear that was re-secured so it can give another century of love. Please see pics for additional info.
It is a wool rug on wool foundation and we recommend a rug pad and if you want to grab on here at BPR, we got you covered right here:
Hand knotted from all natural, vegetable dyed wool.
