Flip it over and look at the back, you’ll spot a fascinating shift in the weaving techniques that reveal a meaningful part of this piece. This unique detail tells a story, indicating two different women worked at the loom to complete this rug.
On its condition…mainly a healthy full wool pile, with some very minor, wool loss consistent with age and history, but don't worry for a second; this rug is heavy, stout, durable, and rock-solid. It can handle a track of elephants stomping across.
