Woven circa 1900, this Persian village rug comes from the tribal weavers of Shiraz, which happens to be home to the famous Qashqai tribe.
It features diamond medallions in its field with wool and the rug also sits on a wool foundation. Look at the exceptional details of this rug, like the flatweave fringes, which took on an entirely different weaving technique to produce. Also, do you spot the animal elements in the rug?
This piece is low pile and floppy with amazing vegetable dyed wool.
We strongly suggest a rug pad for this old beauty, to keep it protected and wiggle free. You can order one here at BPR if you like and we'll custom cut it for you.
