Woven by mountain weavers in early 1920s, this is an outstanding and durable Kurdish rug with all over motifs adorning the inner field. Its soft to the touch old world wool is fascinating and so are its pastel like color ways. 

She who weaved this rug represents the primitive people of the tribe who washed and separated the best wool of her own family's sheep to weave what is now a most cherished piece with beautiful folk art. This Kurdistan is simply a beautiful and decorative piece to add true charm to a home with the durability of old world wool to last for generations to come. It has wool pile on a wool foundation and owns some lightly scattered wear that shows of its age.
