This antique Persian from circa 1920 is from Bibikabad, which is a village in the Hamadan region of Persia. These rugs are similar to their neighboring town, in Malayer. This rug is a definite heirloom and has generations to go.
The Bibikabad families wove rugs that are super durable and their name literally means, “the village of grandmother."
Low pile, in excellent condition and woven with all natural, vegetable dyed wool.
