Aged beautifully with its natural vegetable dyes, we have this wonderful Persian from circa 1920s and it comes packed with loads of character. In a dusty blush ground color, this beauty from the Western part of Persia was woven in the district of Hamadan, which happens to be one of the oldest cities of the country. The field of the rug has an all over paisley design woven in. These are symbols to the weavers and it represents the "seed of life" aka fertility.
This rug is time worn, low pile, with scattered wear. This old baby definitely has charm and can be styled up in so many places in the home to add so much love and history.
Hand knotted vegetable dyed wool.
