This is an adorable antique 1930s Persian Sarouk rug that has a lot of personality with its gorgeous display of fantastic botanical motifs and stunning color story. A marbled reddish to orange hue ground provides the perfect backdrop to the lovely floral bouquets flanking the dainty medallion at the center. Splashes of turquoise and navy blue makes for a beautiful rug as it draws the eye to it. The modest border continues the botanical theme and color ways tying it all together wonderfully.
Handwoven with wool that has been dyed with natural resources, such as vegetables, plants, and flowers, the colors are vibrant and tantalizing. This beauty has a low wool pile that is worn in some areas and has a stiff cotton foundation, which makes for a sturdy rug that has lots of time to go. She will bring warmth, beauty, and style to any home décor in need of fabulous floor art.
