4'4 x 6'8 Antique 1920s Rug (#1342)

This lovely antique P E R S I A N from T A B R I Z is in great condition and offers phenomenal art with a Herati design, also known as a water garden design. What you see in the dark navy blue field are hooked fish surrounding flower heads. 

T A B R I Z is one of the oldest weaving centers in Northwest P E R S I A and are quite distinguished, due to their exceptional weave and loyalty to traditional P E R S I A N rug design. These rugs are reputed to hold the highest standards of expert craftsmanship.

Low pile and from the 1920s with light wear. The wool is luxurious and lustrous. 

Hand knotted with all natural vegetable dyed wool.
