Born out of the heart and mind of the weaver, this fabulous antique Persian Malayer rug has the soul and presence to elevate any space it occupies. With a beautiful central medallion and powerful motifs throughout, this beauty is reminiscent of the kind of geometric motifs and strong medallions seen in the rugs produced in the nearby village of Mazlaghan.
There is a beautiful subtle abrash of blush ground that provides a wonderful contrast to the lovely shades of dark blue and neutral tones of khaki and chocolate brown.
Circa 1910, this alluring rug was hand-woven in Malayer, Persia and dyed with organic vegetable dyes, which gives it a unique color palette. A great size for any space needing a bit of flair to dress it up and make it memorable.
