A highly decorative Persian Malayer rug with a heightened level of artistry and glorious color ways, this village rug was exquisitely woven and it truly sits with us as a majestic one. Perhaps the distinct aqua blue border pops out at you or the impressive coral motifs that are against it, but the spectrum of natural dyes employed here are simply mesmerizing to our eyes.
This low pile beauty has lots of abrash as well, which truly amplifies the work of art and age it owns. Woven circa 1920 in the village of Malayer on a deep navy blue ground and ivory corner spandrels, this old baby has many symbolic motifs, including paisleys, fish and flower heads. The wool here is exceptional with vibrance and superior quality. It can serve as a gorgeous entry piece to greet you when you come home or you can style it in a space to elevate it with the pop it needs!
