In minty condition with lustrous, soft and lanolin rich wool, this Persian Malayer grabs hearts. Adorned with harshang crab design, the motifs are attractive and symbolic across many cultures. They say crabs represent renewal and rebirth due to the fact that they are able to shed their old shell and generate a new one. The art work is attractive and meaningful to us now as it was to the weavers then.
This sweet village rug is a stellar one in our collection of smaller rugs. It sits on a navy blue ground and its charm will undoubtedly elevate the space it will live in, adding in great history and decor. Woven with all natural, vegetable dyed wool circa 1920.
