Tribal, worn and and nearly square, this old P E R S I A N comes from the south of the country, woven in S H I R A Z. On a floppy wool foundation, this circa 1880s wool rug features pole double medallions and has a nice composition of art on the rug.
It's definitely moody with its color ways and features many symbolic elements such as pinwheels of life, birds and paisleys. On one side of the rug, you'll see the weaver has paisleys and on the other side, it's a field of pinwheels. This old baby is nicely worn and we believe the foundation of this rug is goat's wool. Check out those amazing raw and beautiful fringes!
