This durable rug was hand knotted in Northwest Persia circa 1920 and has earned loads of character with its age. It is low pile from the mountainous region of Heriz with coarse hand knotting. One area had wool loss to foundation and has been mended (please see pics for details). It is bountiful in color ways, with bold and brilliant natural dyes that have aged superbly and it features a gorgeous and powerful central medallion along with French blue corner spandrels that really grab our attention.
Remember, it's antique so it is a vegetable dyed wool rug...it does not get any better!
