From the region of Caucasus, this antique vegetable dyed Kuba rug is in wonderfully aged condition and features a lovely terra cotta ground color, as is filled with tribal motifs. These rugs are considered rare and many like to collect them, and they were  produced from expert dyers and weavers. Rugs from this region are termed Caucasian, also known as old Russians. Undoubtedly, a woman wove this rug, and when completed, it was sold as a source of life income.

This piece is low pile and in worn condition.
