This is a wonderful and whimsical little Persian, woven in the village of Malayer. It is made with old world wool that was naturally dyed with vegetables, plants and mineral sources 100 years ago. It has amazing and super evident abrash (variation in natural dyes due to the different lots of wool used by women to weave) that gives the rug even more character and charm.
This beauty has a low wool pile and worn. Please see pics for full character and condition. It showcases small scale motifs throughout and will be easy to style.
Pics were taken outside and under direct and indirect sunlight for your viewing. The rug will have a darker mood when inside.
Exact size: 3'10 x 7'
Hand knotted with vegetable dyed wool
Woven Circa 1920
